WEATHER ALERT - Norbert forecast to Become a Major Hurricane South of Baja California Sur
10/07/2008 9:19 PM MDT Norbert has strengthened dramatically and is now a Category 2 Hurricane and is forecast to become a Major Hurricane (a Major Hurricane is one of Category 3 or greater) in the next 24-36hrs. Hurricane Norbert is some 500 miles south of Cabo San Lucas. Hurricane Norbert is forecast to turn to the north then NNE and is currently forecast to make landfall on the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur as a strong Category 2 Hurricane.
