Hurricane Hernan Becomes first Major Hurricane of 2008
08/09/2008 9:37 AM MDT Hurricane Hernan becomes the first major hurricane of the 2008 Eastern pacific Hurricane Season. A major hurricane is one of Category 3 or more, packing winds in excess of 111mph.
