Weather in Baja California & Almost Back to Normal After Henriette

Weather  in Baja California & Almost Back to Normal After Henriette

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

09AM MDT 09/07/07  A bright sunny day from north to south in Baja today as many of us do the final tidying up following Henriette. Hwy 1 is open north to south with minor problems - see Baja Road Report. There is a new 1016mb High (blue arrow) west of west of the Cedros Islands. There are three tropical waves on our map (orange arrows) but there is only one area of disturbed weather, (yellow arrow) the remnants of Hurricane Felix, that offer any chance of development, and the NHC is calling that unlikely. Enjoy a beautiful day through most of Baja as most places complete the mop-up following the passage of Henriette. We will post additional video from San Jose del Cabo and La Paz later today.

Contrary to major press reports, we're all doing just fine here in Baja Sur. We have a little mopping up to do, but we are certainly not "devastated" by a little weather, as CNN & Fox might lead you to believe. Click here for more facts about Henriette... Or click here to read the Baja Blog and on the scene reports from our readers.
