Information on Tropical Storm Henriette

09PM MDT 09/01/07 Tropical Storm Henriette is just short of Category 1 Hurricane strength as it moves from the Mexican mainland toward the Socorro Islands. TS Henriette is currently located near 18.4N 106.1W about 125 miles west southwest of Manzanillo or about 395 miles southeast of Cabo San Lucas. Movement is 290° at 09kts. Central barometric pressure is estimated at 994 and winds are 60kts with gusts to 75kts. Tropical Storm force winds extend out 85 miles. Tropical Storm Henriette is forecast to become a hurricane Sunday. Henriette is forecast to be a Category 1 Hurricane when it passes well southwest of Cabo on Monday. Current projections call for Henriette to make landfall as a Tropical Storm north of San Ignacio late Wednesday. Cabo San Lucas may begin seeing rain as early as Sunday evening.
