Baja California Weather Outlook - Tropical Storm Dalila

12PM MDT 07/23/07 Tropical Storm Dalila (red arrow) became the fourth tropical cyclone of the Eastern Pacific Hurricane Season today. Located about 560 miles south by SE of Cabo San Lucas the storm is moving NW at 9kts. Dalila is expected to continue to strengthen slowly as it move NW, but fall short of hurricane strength by the time it enters cooler waters mid-week. Spin-off from the storm will bring increasing chance of rain throughout the week. A ridge that extends from a High west of Baja (blue arrow) to a point about 350miles SW of Cabo is trapping TS Dalila more to the NW than previous storms this season.
