Baja California Weather Outlook - Tropical Depression 7E

   Baja California Weather Forecast

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

00AM MDT 07/22/07 Tropical Depression 7E (red arrow) has formed about 390nm south of Manzanillo, Mexico. TD7E is expected to evolve into Tropical Storm Erick later today. The system is forecast to move to the NW over the next several days. Although landfall of a system this early in the season is unlikely, it is possible that we will see some increased humidity, overcast and possibly rain from the spin-off of this system sometime next week. High pressure exists in the Pacific west of our map (blue arrow) a ridge extends from this High SE to about 250 miles SSW of Cabo San Lucas. This developing system may get trapped east of this ridge as forecasts call for the storm to turn to a NNWerly course Tuesday.
