09AM MDT 06/09/07 Most of Baja will enjoy clear skies and seasonal temperatures today. Evening winds from the SW in the southern Sea are forecast to be lighter than earlier in the week. The Pacific High off our map to the west (blue arrow) continues to dominate our weather as it will for about 6 more weeks. There is a thermal Low (green arrow) over northern Mexico that will draw marine layer into the northern pacific regions of Baja California. There are two Tropical Waves (orange arrows) in our basin. The western most is stimulating a large area of thundershowers 400 miles SSE of Acapulco. The National Hurricane Center believes this system has only margin chance of additional development. |
