Baja California Weather Outlook Baja California Weather Forecast |
09AM MDT 06/08/07 A busy map down south today but most of Baja will enjoy clear skies and warm early summer temps today after the Pacific marine layer burns off in the usually stubborn places in Baja California from San Quentin to El Rosario. Winds after sunset are forecast to be lighter than the past few days from the SW. In the ITCZ we have 2 Tropical Waves on our map. (orange arrows) the western most of which is stimulating an area of thunderstorms 400 miles SW of Acapulco and further development is possible. The ITCZ has push north along the southern coast of Mexico (yellow arrow) The ITCZ moves with season and weather features but doesn't usually come this close to the coast, through very warm water, until later in the season. When the western tail of the ITCZ works further north toward this point (green arrow) is when Baja stands a great likelihood of tropical cyclone. |
