Baja Weather Outlook

08AM MST 05/28/07 Tropical Depression 1E (red arrow) has formed some 715 miles SSW of Cabo San Lucas and is moving west. The system is forecast to become our first named storm of the season as it builds to become Tropical Storm Alvin before Tuesday morning. The system is unlikely to affect Baja weather. Our Baja skies should be clear and hot after a marine layer burns off the Pacific coast north of El Rosario. The Pacific High off our map to the west (blue arrow) will keep Baja dry. A thermal Low (yellow arrow) is drawing and tropical moisture over the mainland. Two troughs are moving the through the Caribbean (orange arrows) Winds in the Sea should be under 10kts during the day and to 15kts after sunset from the west.
