   Baja California Weather Forecast

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

09AM MDT 05/30/07 Alvin (magenta arrow) has been downgraded to a Tropical Depression as it moves west. The second tropical cyclone (red arrow) has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Barbara. The storm is stationary but is expected to continue to strengthen and turn to the NW along the southern coast of Mexico. A thermal Low (orange arrow) over the mainland is expected to affect the storm. Some broken clouds and marine layer (yellow arrow) may keep skies in the central and northern parts of the peninsula cloudy early, but should burn off later in the day. The Pacific High off our map to the west (blue arrow) continues to keep the rest of Baja clear and dry.
