09AM MST 05/23/07 In Baja Sur SW winds are bringing a pacific marine layer across the peninsula, keeping mornings temps in the low 60°F's. Corumuel Winds continue to blow along the southern Sea of Cortez to 15kts after sunset. There will e some heavy clouds in the northern most sections of Baja California, but about 2/3's of the peninsula will enjoy sunshine. Temperatures will be slightly below seasonal. This good weather is a result of the Pacific High (blue arrow) The Pineapple Express or tropical moisture as it it's called at this time of year (yellow arrow) is being drawn into central Mexico and a thermal Low (magenta arrow) a through (red arrow) extends northward into Texas where a line of severe thunderstorms is moving east. Another trough (orange arrow) is moving NW through the Caribbean.
