Baja Californa Weather Outlook

   Baja California Weather Forecast

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

11AM MST 05/02/07 Winds will let up through much of Baja during the day today, but strong Corumuel Winds are expected after sunset. This is normal at this time of year because of the temperature difference between the pacific, the land and the Sea of Cortez. The Pacific High (blue arrow) off our map to the west is creeping closer to the California Coast and we may see stronger winds later in the week. A thermal Low (orange arrow) is over mainland Mexico in opposition to the High. Another late season cod front north of our map (green arrow) will sweep through California in the next few days and will bring clouds and cooler temps to Baja California. In Baja Sur temps will continue to warm as the last traces of the Pineapple Express (yellow arrow) are swept SE. A early season trough is moving west along the ITCZ (magenta arrow)
