09AM MST 04/19/07 Baja California will experience clear skies and seasonably cool temps today while Baja Sur will still endure the Pineapple Express (yellow arrow) for at least part of the day. The overcast will clear throughout the day to the ENE. A Gale (orange arrow) is forecast in the CA Bight and is suppose to bring high winds to 25kts as far south as the Cedros. However, actual readings this AM indicate winds are relatively light. The Pacific High off our map (blue arrow) A ridge (magenta arrow & line) is expected to form from that High to just south of Cabo today and in conjunction with a trough (green arrow) over the mainland may bring strong winds from the WSW to parts of Baja Sur and Crossing in the next 24-48hrs.
