Cruising the Sea of Cortez in baja California Mexico is hardly new, but I guess news travels a little slower in the great white north than in the rest of the world. Cruising the Sea of Cortez is hardly news to real cruisers as La Paz has been a popular stop for these wayfaring boaters for more than 4 decades. Today the face of cruising has changed entirely. The true pirate and adventure is few and far between these days. The boater in the Sea of Cortez today may keep their vessel permanently in one of the state of the art marinas in Baja Sur year round and visit from a US or canadian urban area on a regular basis.
